Cryptocoryne wendtii Brown – Live Aquarium Plant

Cryptocoryne wendtii Brown is a popular aquatic plant originating from Sri Lanka, known for its attractive dark brown leaves and distinctive wavy edges. Some leaves feature a textured, dimpled appearance, adding depth and character to planted aquariums. Under suitable lighting conditions, the leaves can develop a rich, deep brown colour, creating a beautiful contrast with green aquatic plants.

This versatile live aquarium plant is suitable for a variety of aquascaping styles, including natural aquariums and biotope setups. Its ability to tolerate relatively hard water makes it a useful choice for aquariums with suitable water conditions, including some cichlid setups.

Cryptocoryne wendtii Brown has a moderate growth rate and can grow both fully submerged in an aquarium and emersed in suitable humid conditions. It is ideal for adding natural colour and texture to the midground of a planted tank. Once established, it can produce new plantlets that can be separated and replanted to grow additional plants.

If you are looking to add a distinctive brown aquatic plant to your planted aquarium, Cryptocoryne wendtii Brown is an excellent option to consider.
