Anubias Nana Clump – Hardy & Beginner-Friendly Aquarium Plant

Anubias Nana Clump is one of the most popular and easy-to-grow aquatic plants, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers. Known for its compact growth, attractive green leaves, and exceptional hardiness, Anubias Nana can adapt to a wide range of aquarium conditions.

It can be grown fully submerged in aquariums or emersed in terrariums and paludariums, making it a versatile plant for a variety of aquatic and semi-aquatic setups.

Why Choose Anubias nana Clump ?

Anubias Nana is a slow-growing plant that requires minimal care and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for nano tanks, community aquariums, shrimp tanks, and planted aquascapes.

How to Plant Anubias nana Clump

Like other Anubias species, Anubias Nana grows from a rhizome. Instead of burying the rhizome in the substrate, attach the plant to driftwood, rocks, or other hardscape materials.

You can secure it using aquarium-safe thread or suitable planting glue. Over time, the roots will naturally attach themselves to the hardscape.

Important: Keep the rhizome exposed. Completely burying it in the substrate can cause the rhizome to rot.

Lighting & CO₂ Requirements

Anubias Nana grows well under low to medium lighting, making it an excellent choice for low-tech aquariums.

CO₂ injection is not required, although adding CO₂ can encourage faster growth and stronger foliage.

Because Anubias Nana grows slowly, excessive lighting can encourage algae growth on its leaves. Moderate lighting combined with good water circulation can help keep the foliage cleaner.

Propagation

Propagation is simple. Once the plant develops a healthy rhizome, divide it into smaller sections using clean scissors or gently separate established growth points.

Each section should ideally have healthy roots and several leaves before being attached to new hardscape.
