Peacock Moss – Deep Green Aquarium Moss

Peacock Moss is an attractive aquatic moss known for its dense, branching growth and rich green colour. Its delicate shoots resemble the layered branches of a peacock’s feathers or a miniature fir tree, making it a beautiful addition to planted aquariums, aquascapes, and aquaterrariums.

This versatile aquarium moss can grow both fully submerged underwater and emersed on a consistently moist surface. It is ideal for creating natural-looking layouts, decorating driftwood and rocks, and adding texture to planted tanks. With its compact growth habit and vibrant green appearance, Peacock Moss is suitable for aquascaping enthusiasts looking to create lush, natural underwater landscapes.

This Moss is often confused with Spiky Moss because both mosses have similar branching structures. Their exact botanical identification may vary, so the name is commonly used for a still-unidentified Taxiphyllum species.
