Spiky Moss

Spiky Moss (Hypnaceae) is a beautiful, fast-growing aquatic moss native to Asia. Often described as the “big brother” of Christmas Moss, it develops larger, deep-green branched shoots that create a distinctive and natural texture in planted aquariums.

It is particularly attractive when attached to driftwood, rocks, and other vertical surfaces, where its branching growth can spread and create a lush, three-dimensional effect. It can also be planted in small tufts across the substrate to create a natural moss carpet as it grows and spreads.

Aquascaping Tips
